Lavina Sanchez is the Founder and CEO of Ability Aides, LLC, a dedicated organization committed to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities by teaching essential daily living skills that promote independence and confidence. Holding master’s degrees in Education and Legal Studies from the University of Southern California (USC), and with a strong background in extensive-needs special education for grades K–12, Lavina brings both professional expertise and a deep personal commitment to her work. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D., with an emphasis on individuals with disabilities, further strengthening her expertise and leadership in the field.

A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Lavina served during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where she sustained injuries that ultimately shaped her perspective on resilience, perseverance, and service. Her journey—along with the experience of raising a daughter with autism—inspired her to create an environment where individuals with disabilities are met with compassion, respect, and unwavering support.

At Ability Aides, Lavina leads with the same values that guided her military service: compassion, strength, and purpose. She ensures that every client is treated with dignity and provided with the tools needed to thrive. Her mission is grounded in advocacy, inclusion, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a more independent and fulfilling life.
